Doula Jussy – A little bit about me

Hi. I’m Justine. As one of nine children, caregiving has always been second nature to me. My grandmother was a nanny in the 1940s, and I followed in her footsteps. Her kind spirit has greatly influenced me.

My journey in childcare has been one of connection, compassion, and deep understanding. For a few decades now, I’ve had the privilege of working with families across the UK and the United States, supporting parents and nurturing children of all ages.

Becoming a Postnatal doula has been a natural continuation on my career path, allowing me to be fully present with families as they navigate the early days of parenthood. Whether it’s promoting rest, preparing nourishing meals, or simply offering a listening ear, my approach is centred on holding a calm, trusting and reassuring space. (I love what I do. I am here for your postnatal journey!)

Located in London, serving London and surrounding counties, also able to work with families in the United States. If you think we might be a good fit, I’d love to hear from you. We can arrange a chat, by phone or meet in person.

I look forward to meeting you soon.

Justine (Doula Jussy)

Postnatal Doula Services

Practical and Emotional Support: Provide a calm, neutral space where parents can freely share their thoughts. Whether you need someone to chat with or purely a listening ear, I’m here.

Encouraging Rest and Relaxation: Rest is essential for recovery, both physically and emotionally. I’m here to help you prioritise rest and relaxation.

Light Housekeeping and Organisation: Postnatal recovery is eased by a calm, organised environment. I can help with light housekeeping, (simple ironing only) organising baby essentials and helping to maintain a peaceful home.

Cooking, Meal Prep and Lactation Snacks:  I will cook and and prepare wholesome meals, as well as lactation snacks. My meals are created to boost energy and to keep you feeling well nourished.

Baby Care: I offer hands-on support with caring for your baby during those early days and weeks.

Sibling Support: Adjusting to life with a newborn can be a big change for older children. I can also offer sibling care and provide age-appropriate activities.

Everyday Tasks: I’m always happy to assist with everyday tasks such as food shopping, errands and dog walking.

Bodywork: After childbirth, the body needs care and healing. I offer gentle and relaxing bodywork (Structural Integration).

Feeding Support and Signposting: I can offer feeding tips as needed. Also, signpost you to additional resources and support systems.

Extra Services

Sleep Support: Sleep education and guidance. Always focused on listening to parent’s needs. I work both in person and online. (Please refer to the sleep section on this website)

Meditation and Mindfulness: One to one sessions with parents. I teach gentle daily practices, breathing exercises. All to promote relaxation, improve sleep, overall health and well-being.
